Paul Alexander Bravo
Paul is the founder and owner of P.A. Bravo. He was born in Miami and went to high school at Christopher Columbus where he played football and ran track. He also went to Florida International University where he studied economics and graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. And he went to law school at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., where he graduated cum laude and in the top 15% of his class. After graduating in 2006, Paul moved back to Miami where he’s practiced law ever since.
During his nearly decade long career, Paul has represented Fortune 500 companies, national banks, condominium associations, small and mid-sized businesses, and individuals facing all kinds of professional and personal legal issues, including criminal charges. Paul has practiced in large and medium sized law firms and has served as general counsel for several businesses, including a successful real estate investment firm. So while his practice is currently heavily centered around real estate related disputes, Paul still handles all types of commercial and criminal cases from inception through trial and appeal. In fact, Paul and the firm are currently lead counsel on over a dozen and a half appellate cases throughout Florida, including a leading case of first impression involving Florida’s statute of limitations on mortgage foreclosure claims, which is pending before the Florida Supreme Court and is scheduled for oral argument on October 6, 2015.
Prior to founding the firm, Paul was a senior associate at Becker & Poliakoff, P.A. where he handled a variety of litigation matters and was responsible for managing the collection and foreclosure of condominium and homeowners’ association liens, as well as mortgages held by national banks, for the firm’s South Florida region. Prior to that position, Paul was the executive vice president and general counsel for statewide transportation and logistics company. In that role, he was responsible for managing all of the company’s legal affairs, including numerous state and federal actions spanning everything from personal injury matters to collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Before that in-house position, Paul was an associate for several years in the complex commercial litigation practice group of the international law firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP where he gained invaluable experience working with exceptional litigators around the country on high-stakes litigation matters for some of the largest and most recognizable multinational corporations in the world.
